In honor of National Women’s History Month, the popular online gallery, overstockArt.com, is hosting the “Women in Art” Twitter® sweepstakes. The sweepstakes commences on International Women’s Day on Monday, March 8, 2010.

To participate in our FREE Oil Painting Giveaway. All you need to do is include the #overstockart tag in any tweet on twitter. Three winners will be selected at the end of the sweepstakes period. You can be creative with your tweet or re-tweet of our message, don't forget to follow @overstockart to find out if you've won.

You can tweet #overstockart as often as you like. Each of these tweets will be eligible and a winner will be chosen at random using an algorithm. No bots or automated scripts please, this is meant to be a bit of fun!

Three (3) winners can choose from any of our 20"x24" inch oil paintings featured in our Women's Gallery. After the oil painting is selected, we'll deliver it to your door!

Rules

  1. This competition is offered by Overstock Art LLC ("overstockArt.com") and is open to anyone with a Twitter account who is at least 16 years of age. Employees and agents of overstockArt.com and/or its affiliated companies and family members of such employees are not eligible to enter.
  2. The competition give away will begin at Monday, March 8 at 12 a.m. ET and finish at Wednesday, March 31 at 11:50 p.m.
  3. Only three prizes will be available, 1 per winner for each of the sweepstakes competition winner. Winners will be chosen at the end of the sweepstakes. Winners will be announced in the following days shortly after the close of the sweepstakes from the overstockArt Twitter account.
  4. The prize itself is a hand painted oil painting. We create the oil painting on your behalf and have it shipped directly to your door anywhere in the world. (You must prove ownership of the winning entry and your shipping address). We will dispatch the prize within 31 days of the competition closing date.
  5. To enter the competition you must send out a tweet from your own Twitter account and include #overstockart in your message. The rest of the message is up to you, and you are welcome to re-tweet our competition launch tweet and the prize URL. Or just say whatever you feel like. And you don't have to be a customer of overstockArt to enter, so no purchase is required.
  6. You can tweet as many times as you like (though entries using automated tweets will be disqualified).
  7. We will choose winners randomly at the close of the sweepstakes. We will then announce winners from our twitter account (@overstockart) so keep listening to see if you've won. The random winner will be determined by closing our eyes and pointing at a list (just kidding, that would be silly, a computer will do it. Not a pointing computer. Ok, to be clear we'll use a computer program to randomly select the winner. No pointing).
  8. Entrants' personal details will be used by overstockArt.com strictly in accordance with overstockArt.com's privacy policy.
  9. Neither overstockArt.com nor its affiliated companies shall have any liability for (i) any technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (ii) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition; (iii) any damage to the prizes; or (iv) any restrictions or delays imposed by any customs authorities or any import or other taxes of any kind imposed by any taxation authority in respect of the prizes.

For the past seven years overstockArt.com has become the online destination for hand painted art on the web.

Our oil paintings are amazingly hand crafted and done in the finest of oils and cavnases. Mostly, our collection includes reproductions of famous artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, Renoir and many more... We have also started developing our own designs for oil paintings. Things that can be found no where else.
